John Cardiel is without a doubt one of the greatest and most influential skateboarders of all time. Unfortunately his skating career was ended early by a car accident. He injured his spinal cord and wasn’t given any chance to ever walk again, but after five months of rehabilitation in the hospital and a few months in a wheel chair he was able to regain the use of his legs.

After a hiatus, he later emerged on two wheels instead of four being featured in the 2008 street fixed gear cycling film “Macaframa” directed by Colin Arlen and Colby Elrick. He attributes his recovery to his cycling, and continues to be an advocate of street fixed gear cycling.(Wikipedia)

Here’s a great compilation from Hobgoblin over at vimeo.

John Cardiel RETROSPECTIVE from HOBGOBLIN on Vimeo.

I recently picked up The Dreamer, The Believer by Common, and after listening to the track Sweet, I did a little research, it turns out that Common’s verses are aimed at Young Money‘s own Drake

Common confirms this in an interview with #swayinthemorning from Shade 45:

Drake responds during his verse in Rick RossStay Schemin

According to MTV(which has an impressive timeline of the feud), Drake Responded after his December show in Las Vegas: “I might sing, but I ain’t no bitch. If Common got something to say, say it to my face.”

I’ve Long been a Common fan, but as an avid fan of Drake I’m torn. I really can’t pick a side to this battle, but I can say I respect Drake for telling Common to “say it to [his] face.”

Now I wanna know, where do you stand?
